Greetings,

I’m Josh, a husband, father, writer, photographer, and outdoorsman currently based in the beautiful blue ridge mountains. Although growing up in the city, I developed a passionate love affair with the outdoors, spending time on my grandparent's farm in the mountains. This love of all things natural grew even deeper throughout my time in the Boy Scouts, where I learned to appreciate and care for all things wild. Fast forward to 2016, I married my beautiful wife, and we decided to raise our family immersed in the natural world. Becoming a father drastically changed me and my outlook on life. It forced me to evaluate the kind of man I wanted to be, the example I wanted to set for my children, and how I wanted to raise them. I bought my first camera and a journal to start documenting our family's life, and these two items became the catalyst for a newfound passion, storytelling. My goal with Blot and Blood is to combine my love of the outdoors and my passion for storytelling into a vehicle for change. I want to do my part to make the world a better place for my children and their children after them.
